War-dated CDV of General Grant and his Generals, 1864 (SOLD)

This is another great period CDV image being offered, it is of General Ulysses S. Grant and his major officers. It is titled “OUR PEACE COMMISSIONERS” and Grant is surrounded by Sherman, Meade, Hooker, Howard, Farragut, Hancock, Butler and Sheridan.

At the bottom of the card is “Entered, according to Act of Congress, in the year 1864, by John P. Soule, in the Clerk’s Office of the District Court for the District of Massachusetts”.

This is one of the rarer “Peace Commissioners” CDVs, most have Grant surrounded by four generals, this one has eight and is war dated 1864. As you can see, it is in nice condition and clear. It comes in a hard-plastic sleeve.
