RARE – Boston Almanac “1862”, listing all New England soldiers, Commanders, vessels, etc.

This is a rare and very interesting little book. It measure 5 ½” x 3 ½” x ¾” and has 340 pages. It has many period advertisements and has a list of the New England soldiers currently in the service, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, and New Hampshire.

As expected for its age, it has some slight separations on the binding, but nothing serious, and the interior is complete with no loose pages. This is the first time I have seen an Almanac which was pretty much acknowledging so many Union soldiers – which many will never return home. It really is a plethora of information.

This book would make a great addition to just about any Civil War collection.
