Awhile back II was fortunate to acquire a large collection of original Gettysburg Battlefield bullets. They are all well documented with great provenance from the private collection of Erik Dorr. He is the owner and curator of “Gettysburg Museum of History” in Gettysburg, PA.
Each bullet comes with the signed Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from Mr. Dorr. He states the description and location of the battlefield where the bullet was recovered. This one even has a faint ramrod imprint.
This one was recovered at the George Spangler Farm. It served as the primary Field Hospital for the Union XI Corps during and after the Battle of Gettysburg. It is recognized as the best-preserved field hospital from the battle, where over 1,900 wounded Union and Confederate soldiers were treated.
