Original Pair of Revolutionary War Drumsticks, Savannah

Product Description

Being offered here is a pair of original Revolutionary War drumsticks. They are made of oak and measure 16 ½”, which is correct for the era. As with most early drumsticks, there are very slight differences. In the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park Museum, there is a similar pair (see pictures).

Civil War drumsticks show up from time to time, which are usually rosewood, but very seldom do you see Revolutionary War examples. They came out of an antebellum estate in Savannah, Georgia. Obviously used, but remain in very nice condition with no cracks.
