Original Civil War Leather Percussion Cap Box with cartridge paper (SOLD)

This is another nice piece being offered, it is a Civil War percussion cap box. It has the complete outer flat and interior flap. The brass finial remains as well as the two leather belt straps on the reverse.

Very faint on the outer flap is what appears to be “W F”. What is very interesting is inside the cap box is an original piece of paper from one of the soldier’s cartridges. This box is complete and in very nice condition. It would make a great addition to any Civil War collection.
