Early Souvenir Gettysburg Pennant, dated 1948 (SOLD)

This is a nice Gettysburg Souvenir Pennant being offered. It is made of felt and measures 12" x 5" and has the date "1948", the Eternal Peace Light Memorial and "Gettysburg, PA.". These pennants were probably the most popular Gettysburg souvenirs during the 1940's through the 1960's. This one is only ten years after the 50th Gettysburg Reunion and the unveiling of the Eternal Peace Light Memorial. 

In my book "Battle of Gettysburg - The Relics, Artifacts & Souvenirs", I have one pictured from the 1913 Reunion. The one being offered here is in very nice condition with no fading - these early pennants are now becoming very collectible.
