Two (2) Civil War era Dimes (SOLD)

Out of Stock

Product Description

These are two dimes which are well-worn and cannot make out the dates, but would be from the early to mid 1800's. They are referred to as "Seated Liberty". On the reverse of both, which is legible, is "ONE DIME". Of the two, one has the rare mint letter "O", which stands for New Orleans.

These coins are typical of what just about every Civil War soldier would have in his pocket. A common practice during the Civil War era was to have a small hole in the coin to attach it to yourself  for safe keeping by a pin or string. They go great with a display of a soldiers personal effects.
