Leather Document/Map Case

This leather case measures 14 1/2" x 4" in the closed condition and 14" x 14 1/2" in the open position. It has a leather carrying strap with a buckle and the inside is lined with a black silk fabric. There are two leather corners on the inside which would be used to insert the document or map. 

It is a little difficult to date this piece, but I would say it is post Civil War and perhaps Indian War or later. The case is in very nice condition and priced accordingly.
