Hand-forged Camp Fork

This is a large, hand-forged Camp Fork or sometimes referred to as a "Meat Fork", the type which is often found in Civil War camps, both Union and Confederate. It measures 20" long and has the "rats tail" handle. A similar example can be seen in "Excavated Artifacts from Battlefields and Campsites of the Civil War", by Stanley Phillips (see pictures). It is in very nice condition and and would make a nice addition to a camp scene.
