Large caliber flattened bullet from battlefield. Click photo and "Detailed Description".
This is truly an interesting piece, it is a .69 caliber Minie Ball which has been meticulously flattened out by a Civil War soldier. It was done in such a way where it still retains its conical shape. It was recovered at the Fredericksburg, Virginia Battlefield. An interesting example of "Soldier Art".
