Brisbane’s Golden Ready-Reckoner. It is by William D. Brisbane and was published by Dick and Fitzgerald, New York in 1863. This small pocket-size book is hard cover and measures 6” x 4” and on the cover is “Price Thirty-Five Cents”. On the front page it states “Calculated in Dollars and cents: being a Useful Assistant to Traders, in Buying and Selling Various sorts of Commodities, Either Wholesale or Retail”. An interesting war-dated little book for the merchant or sutler.
