19th Century Civil War era Cigar Mold. Click picture and "Detailed Description".
This wooden 19th century Cigar Mold measures 12” x 5” x 2 ½”. The two sections come apart and are lined up by a crude wooden dowel. It was used to make ten cigars with a full taper on one end, and less tapered on the other. There is a number “5027” into the wood on one end. It appears to be hand-made and seen a lot of use, but still remains in very solid condition. I’ve had original Civil War era cigars in the past and the size of the cigars from this mold would match up almost exactly to their size. This is a great piece and would fit in with just about any collection.
