Civil War regulation brass spur. It is complete and still has the iron rowel, which spins easily. The width of the spur is 3" and it is 5 1/4" long. This spur is typical of what was used by and issued to the Union cavalry. It has definite signs of use but not beaten up or bent, as many examples are. The aged brass patina is simply beautiful.... never being cleaned. It would almost be impossible to upgrade on this spur and it is worthy of the finest Civil War or Cavalry collection.
