Paymaster document associated with a soldier in the famous 6th U.S. Infantry (Regulars). It is a one paged document dated Nov. 10, 1863 in reference to Private William Simpson. He was mustered in with the Invalid Corp in July and August, 1863. The reason is unknown at the time concerning his illness, injury, or wounding. The 6th suffered most of their Civil War casualties at the Battle of Gettysburg. This is a rare document and it remains in nice condition and very readable. I am including the research documents that I have on Simpson and the 6th. Anything associated with "The Regulars" is very desirable and seldom becomes available on the open market.
