Welcome to Yankee Rebel Civil War Antiques
Welcome to Yankee Rebel Civil War Antiques. I strive to accomodate both the beginner and the seasoned collector with authentic artifacts from the Civil War and the 19th century. Collecting Civil War artifacts is more than a hobby; it quickly turns into a passion. To be able to handle and hold these relics, gives you a special connection to the past, which few have the opportunity to experience. If there is an item you are interested in, please email me to check the availability. If available, I will put an immediate hold on it. If you would like to see more photographs of an item, feel free to contact me at: Bob33rd@optonline.net
Original Civil War and quality 19th century artifacts, have been increasingly difficult to come by. With many years of dealing with collectors, museums, diggers.....and people who are just generally interested in history, I have developed quite a few resources. This allows me to pass along both the common and rare pieces to your personal collections. Every collector has their own preferences when it comes to Civil War items, but I strive to accomodate just about everyones interest. I myself have always had a great interest in Civil War canteens and just about anything Gettysburg. So much, that I have two books published on these subjects, which are available on this website. Battle of Gettysburg - The Relics, Artifacts & Souvenirs and The Civil War Canteen, both gladly personalized upon request. The Gettysburg book was the first, and only one ever done in "full color". I now also have the same book available in black and white with color covers at a much lower price. I am currently working on my first children's book titled Children at the Battle of Gettysburg - Their Unforgettable Summer. It is a fictional story, but based on actual fact. This epic battle which was taking place in Pennsylvania in 1863 not only affected the soldiers, but had a tremendous impact on the everyday lives of the kids, who found themselves in the midst of all the turmoil. Although in some instances they are surrounded by the fighting, I try to steer away from that aspect and concentrate on how they dealt with these changing times in their young lives. I’ve been working with the artist and she is producing some beautiful illustrations. I am striving to have the book published by August, 2010 and have an ongoing list of those interested in the first signed copies. It is in full-color and entirely illustrated, suitable for ages 8 - 15. If you would like to be added just drop me an email. It would make a great gift for that special kid in your life! Also, I am always interested in purchasing, if you have an item (or items) to sell, drop me an email. If you are looking for something that you do not see on our website, also let me know, perhaps I have it available or may help you find it. Checks, money orders, PayPal and credit cards through PayPal, are gladly accepted. Please drop me an email at Bob33rd@optonline.net and I will let you know the availability of an item, the shipping charges and details for paying.
