Remains of a Civil War Soldier's Pocket Knife - Gettysburg

$35.00 $20.00

Product Description

This is another nice piece being offered, it is the remains of a Civil War soldier’s pocket knife. It is one side of the handle and is made of brass measuring 3 ½”.  It was recovered at Gettysburg along the Emmitsburg Road, just south of town. The Emmitsburg Road runs through the area of Pickett's Charge.

Just about every soldier carried a pocket knife and I have examples in two of my books “Battle of Gettysburg – The Relics, Artifacts & Souvenirs” and “The Civil War Soldier – His Personal Items”. Almost impossible to find an original Gettysburg piece at this price.
