Iron Camp Ladle found just outside of Gettysburg

Product Description

This is another interesting item being offered, it is a crude iron ladle. It has an overall measurement of 14 ¼” x and the diameter of the bowl section 3 ½”. It was found in Gettysburg outside of town along York Road.

This is something typical of what a soldier would use while cooking over a fire. It appears to have been made by a blacksmith. This piece was found with the crude iron spatula which is also listed. It does have overall rust, as seen in the pictures, however it is solid and there is no flaking. Anyway, it is a unique piece often found at Civil War camps and would go great in a Civil War display.
