Brass Camp pot, dated 1851 and 1866 (SOLD)

Out of Stock

Product Description

This unique piece of Civil War era cookery is fashioned from spun brass with a forged black iron bail handle. The pot stands about 7 1/2" high and has a diameter of approximately 12 1/2" and the top. The pot has definitely seen use with some denting near the bottom along with overall minor dents. This all original cooking utensil is marked on the bottom "H.W. HAYDEN - PATENT - DEC. 16, 1851 - Extended Dec. 15, 1866 - Reissued Feb. 186...". This pot has never been cleaned and has the original untouched patina.
