Artillery Parrott shell base recovered at Gettysburg (SOLD)

This is another nice item being offered, it is the base from an exploded Civil War Parrott 10-pounder artillery shell. It was recovered from the Gettysburg battlefield many years ago.

This is a nice, clean solid piece previously sold by the HS at Gettysburg about 15 years ago. I go into more detail on these shells and how they were used in my book “Civil War Artillery – A Pictorial Introduction” and in “Battle of Gettysburg – The Relics, Artifacts & Souvenirs”.
